Description:
Premium diaper designed for newly active to walking babies 5 to 48 months old.
3 way fit for your one of a kind moves. Our best fitting diaper for your baby. Soft, super-stretchy sides and an absorb away mesh liner.
Fun designs feature Elmo and friends from Sesame Street. The most expensive diaper Pampers makes.
Review:
When I had my daughter 5 yrs ago I loved these diapers. So when we adopted our son, I bought the biggest box from Amazon, in both size 3 and 4 because I didn’t know what size he’d be.
These diapers still fit well and are soft and absorbent.
Criticism:
Now they leave pieces of filling all over him! If I don’t change him right away after he wets, the diapers seem to fall apart on the inside. It takes longer to wipe all the little pieces away, then to just clean him up from a wet diaper. So not only are these diapers more expensive than most, but they costing me even more because I have to change the diaper more frequently to avoid the diaper piece mess! I’m using more wipes to get the pieces of diaper up.
The design of Elmo and friends are cute, but really, who cares about the diaper design. The babies don’t and 95% of the time they are under clothes anyway.
I’d rather not pay for a fancy design, I’d rather pay for a diaper that works. Needless to say I can’t wait until I’m done with my last pack of size 4. I’ve been substituting Seventh Generation, which I really like and I’m going to try the Pampers baby dry too.

5 Ways to Save for a Major Purchase

It always seems like the money goes out just as fast as it comes into the bank account, sometimes faster. So what do you do when the family wants to get something a little outside the normal budget? With some adjustments to the budget, careful spending, creative ideas and time, it is possible to save up the money to get those extra things the family wants.
- One way to save toward a special purchase is to change the budget. Start by looking for things that you can give up, even if for just a short period of time to put toward the purchase. Keep track of all the small purchases that don’t need to be made, like fast food. If you put that money aside in a separate account, it will add up quicker than you might think.
- Start a loose change jar. Anytime someone buys something with cash, put the change in the jar. When the jar is full, roll the coins and add that to your savings for your goal. It’s amazing how quickly coins add up. If family members give up some of their splurges, such as a candy bar, can of soda or other small items, adding that amount to the jar each week will also help the saving go faster.
- Another good idea for saving toward the purchase is to set up a special bank account just for the funds for special things. Set aside a little each week toward it. Sometimes you can set up an account similar to a Christmas club that can’t be withdrawn from until a certain date to help enforce savings.
- Another idea is to go to the store where you plan to buy the item from and occasionally purchase a gift card. Many times the gift cards have no expiration date, and some can have funds added to it. Simply take the card with you each time you go shopping, and have them add a little extra to the card. Before you know it, you have enough to pick up the item. Just be sure to check the store’s policy concerning gift cards before using this method.
- Some stores still offer a layaway plan. This is a great way to take advantage of special sales. You can purchase it at the lower price, paying it off a little at time. Having a deadline forces you to get your payments in, instead of using the money for other things.
If you find yourself short of your goal, despite your best efforts, it might be time to have a yard sale. By everyone pitching in and donating items they no longer want or need, the entire family can help earn the money. Even the youngest child can pick a few toys they’ve outgrown to add to the sale to help achieve your goal.

Description:
I think The No-Cry Discipline Solution is a valuable book for all parents. It turns discipline into a positive experience for parent and child and that is no small feat. Unlike many parenting books that leave parents feeling confused and inadequate, this book leaves you with a sense that you can reach your child. It teaches you how too discipline lovingly, creating a peaceful home environment for everyone.
Review:
Disciplining children is arguably one of the hardest skills for
parents to learn. As a parent herself, Elizabeth Pantley knows what a
challenge it is to establish good discipline, and she shares the hard-won wisdom of her experience with parents in this latest edition to her
revolutionary “no-cry” approach to parenting. In this case, we have no doubt she’s saving parents from tears, too! Elizabeth Pantley’s approach to this age-old problem is unique because she doesn’t rely on old discipline models that often make parents feel like the bad guy. Instead, she gives parents the communication tools they need to stop bad behavior in its tracks and gain a deeper understanding of what triggers a child to act out. Any parent will appreciate the focus on love and nurturing in this wholly practical and much-needed addition to the child care shelf.
Pantley takes us on an important journey to help us find ease and comfort as parents. She first dispels many parenting and discipline myths that often leave parents confused and feeling inadequate. By learning about these myths and acknowledging that they exist in your life you can then move forward and learn effective new ways to raise your children.
I think this book is a good read for all parents and especially those that are sometimes frustrated with how they see themselves interacting with their children. Parenting skills and discipline skills can always be improved upon and this book is a great place to start. By following Pantley’s advice more parents can find ways to discipline without tears, with less frustration, and with more peace among all members of the family.

Description:
The Linksys Wireless-G Router allows you to connect four computers into one box for easy access to your DSL or cable high speed Internet. It also allows you to connect Wireless-G or Wireless-B devices to your network giving you more options than ever before.
Review:
Looking for a way to connect all my computers together was not an easy task. There are so many different routers out there that finding the right one takes time and a lot of frustration. I came across this router and decided to try it.
One of my reasons for picking this router is because it has wireless capability. I can place it anywhere in my home office and don’t have the hassles of trying to run wires along the ceiling or under the carpet.
Another reason was the price, it wasn’t as expensive as I was afraid of, but does more than enough for what I need it for. For around $50 I have what I need. No reason to spend hundreds of dollars between a router and then have to pay someone to come hook it up because it’s over my head.
The CD that comes with the router was very helpful. After watching it I was able to set up my router with no problems. Connecting it into my other computers and to my cable modem was a breeze. We were up and running in no time and I wasn’t stressed out from it all.
I like the range of this router. I have computers in a couple of different rooms as well as a laptop and have had no problem with my connections. None of my other electronics have been affected by this router either. Which is a lifesaver especially with teenagers in the house.
I also like the fact that I could install my printer for use by everyone. No only can we share the Internet connection and the printer but also files and games. This makes it easy for everyone in the house to enjoy his or her computer without having to save files to a CD and take it to the main computer to print them out.
I would recommend this wireless router to anyone who needs to have more than one PC connected to your Internet. It’s well worth the money and the support system is wonderful. With updates available all the time it keeps you up and going with very little frustration. Wireless is the way to go and you will be glad you did.

No More Tangles Spray Detangler

Description:
Johnson’s No More Tangles Spray Detangler is a spray in hair detangler. It can be used on wet or dry hair to help remove tangles, making brushing your child’s hair easy. It leaves your child’s hair soft and easy to manage all day long.
Review:
Johnson is a trusted name that has been delivering some of the best children’s products for years. This detangler is no exception.
Ever experienced this with your young daughter? You just washed her hair and it time to brush it out. She starts thrashing around putting her hands over her head and crying no, no, no. Not a pretty thing to experience, especially if her hair is long, thick and curly.
Too many times, I ended up in tears right along with my daughter just trying to brush or comb her hair. With this spray detangler this scene can be a thing of the past. Your child will want to brush their hair over and over again.
The detangler can be used on wet or dry hair. I spray it right on the tangles with a couple of short spurts. By doing this the detangler gets all the way into the tangle. I also massage the spray into my daughter’s hair. Then there is no chance that the middle of a tangle is left out.
To keep from hurting my daughter while combing, I’ve found it’s best to start from the bottom and work up when combing her hair. Using slow mall strokes until the tangle is completely gone. If the tangle is really resistant, I just spray another little bit on it and try again. Very seldom do I need to re-spray however.
Once all the tangles are out, my daughter’s hair is smooth, soft and easy to manage. It takes less time and there are no more outburst or as Johnson’s is famous for saying “No More Tears.”
