Even worse that alot of people experience is ” memory card error” and “unidentified image” on the sd1000, i’ve been looking online for two days and found page after page of complaints about this camera error and nobody knows how to correct it and canon won’t take care of it. BUYER BEWARE!!! this camera may take good pics for a couple weeks but will leave you helpless when you need it. Google: Canon sd1000 memory card error
unidentified image
The same thing happened to me! I had the camera for just over one year and LOVED it, but suddenly I am getting the Lens Error message and am devastated to I have to get a new one!
yep i just had the “lens error” screen of death. it was an amazing camera up until that though.
Buyer Beware: This camera has a common flaw leading to a lens error for many owners of this camera. The bigger problem is that Canon will not cover this problem under warranty.
