This DVD gives you the information you need to keep your children safe and happy on the Internet. Divided up in chapters so they can be easily accessed this DVD includes sections on healthy internet habits, expert advice on setting up parental guidelines and even on social networking.

Review:
Do you have a teenager who is constantly on the computer? It can be as scary and nerve wracking as letting them borrow the car on a Friday night. In fact for me it was worse because I wasn’t sure what might be available for them to access and find.

The The Internet and Your Kids: Healthy Habits for a Safe Online Home DVD was the only thing I could find on keeping my teenager safe on the Internet. I was very glad it was so informative and helpful. I was lost and needed some advice and even though this was all I could find it gave me everything I need to know.

I can set up some parental codes now. I of course knew they were on the computer, but how do you know what to block. I mean yes there are sites you are going to automatically know to block, but those aren’t the only ones out there. It helped me to find the right things to block and how to use the block to make sure all these types of things were included.

The 16 healthy habits for Internet safety came in very handy. In just a few minutes I began to feel better about my teenager’s safety. Believe it or not my teenager was even pretty receptive to most of them. This even included some of the ideas about social networking and the MySpace site.

If you are concerned about your child and the Internet invest in this DVD. Even those of us who think we know may come away with some things that will be helpful. Keeping my child safe is of the utmost importance to me. This DVD and the expert advice it gave me has helped me to do just that.

Description:
More than just a recipe book, Summer Smoothies includes information on how to select and prepare the fruits you use in your smoothies. What types of utensils and equipment to use are also featured in this book and of course all those fabulous recipes.

Review:
I get tired of having lemonade, tea and juice all summer long. My children are even more tired of it. I wanted to give them a little excitement to their summer by changing that. It was one way I could help to make their summer a memorable one. I found this neat little book and boy have we had some fun making smoothies this summer.

Filled with lots of information this book has helped us to reinvent our summer drinking habits. By using fruit I know these drinks are healthy for my children too. Even though there are a few that hit that sugar spot for them once in a while.

From the names of the recipes to how these smoothies all come together you will find some humor. It’s great fun to let the kids pick a new smoothie to try just because of those cute names. Like Pineapple Pixel or Lord of the Bings my kids laugh every time we open this up.

We haven’t tried them all yet but so far the ones we have tried have been delicious. The recipes are easy to follow, the items used are easy to find and it even gives you some alternatives that you can use to change it around a little. The part of how to buy and store the fruits is also interesting. I also like the part about the equipment you can use. That has helped me in a lot of ways with knowing what is a good recipe for the kids to make or if I should do this one as a surprise for them.

We’ve had a lot of fun this summer experimenting with our smoothies. I see smoothies in the future for every summer. They are a cool, refreshing drink that my children enjoy and I can’t beat that.

Product Name:
The No-Cry Discipline Solution: Gentle Ways to
Encourage Good Behavior Without Whining, Tantrums, and Tears
Submitted by:
Tiffany Washko; Marion, OH
Rating:10

Description:
I think The No-Cry Discipline Solution is a valuable book for all parents. It turns discipline into a positive experience for parent and child and that is no small feat. Unlike many parenting books that leave parents feeling confused and inadequate, this book leaves you with a sense that you can reach your child. It teaches you how too discipline lovingly, creating a peaceful home environment for everyone.

Review:
Disciplining children is arguably one of the hardest skills for
parents to learn. As a parent herself, Elizabeth Pantley knows what a
challenge it is to establish good discipline, and she shares the hard-won wisdom of her experience with parents in this latest edition to her
revolutionary “no-cry” approach to parenting. In this case, we have no doubt she’s saving parents from tears, too! Elizabeth Pantley’s approach to this age-old problem is unique because she doesn’t rely on old discipline models that often make parents feel like the bad guy. Instead, she gives parents the communication tools they need to stop bad behavior in its tracks and gain a deeper understanding of what triggers a child to act out. Any parent will appreciate the focus on love and nurturing in this wholly practical and much-needed addition to the child care shelf.

Pantley takes us on an important journey to help us find ease and comfort as parents. She first dispels many parenting and discipline myths that often leave parents confused and feeling inadequate. By learning about these myths and acknowledging that they exist in your life you can then move forward and learn effective new ways to raise your children.

I think this book is a good read for all parents and especially those that are sometimes frustrated with how they see themselves interacting with their children. Parenting skills and discipline skills can always be improved upon and this book is a great place to start. By following Pantley’s advice more parents can find ways to discipline without tears, with less frustration, and with more peace among all members of the family.

Description:
The Single Moms Survival Guide is an ebook written by a single mom. It is full of tips and advice on many of the things necessary to raising children by yourself.

Review:
Many of us face the reality of raising our children alone. Those of us who have been there for whatever reason know that it’s an uphill battle usually fought with little to no help. Now it doesn’t have to be that way. With this ebook you can have someone on your side to help you with win those battles.

When I was divorced, which took me forever to do because I didn’t think I could do it on my own, I found a whole new set of struggles that I never thought about before. I had three children, all 22 months apart and headed for those teenage years. I was scared to death.

When I realized that my ex-husband wasn’t going to be around as a father I was even more frantic. How was I going to get through this? What was I thinking? I fell apart and then I got it together and did what I had to do.

It wasn’t easy and the whole time all I could think about was I am the only person going through this. I knew better, but I was alone and scared. It doesn’t have to be that way for anyone because this ebook can be your best friend.

Filled with the things I had to figure out on my own it gives you guidance and advice that all single parents need whether you are a mom or a dad doing it alone. It gives you advice on things such as where to find help, how to deal with finances such as saving money, how to make ends meet and much more.

I was amazed at how much this ebook was filled with what I had learned all by myself when I was in this situation. What to do when it comes to dating, how to find childcare you can afford and why it’s okay to be you. I wish this had been available when I was going through these trying times. Just knowing there’s someone out there that’s been through it would have been a great burden off my shoulders.

If you’re a single parent or know someone who is read this ebook. If for nothing more than to know you’re not alone and there are plenty of parents out there who have gone through the same situation you’re in right now. It will give you courage, independence and hope. You will be a stronger parent and a happier person knowing that there is help out there and that it’s not the end of the world.
