Description:
I think The No-Cry Discipline Solution is a valuable book for all parents. It turns discipline into a positive experience for parent and child and that is no small feat. Unlike many parenting books that leave parents feeling confused and inadequate, this book leaves you with a sense that you can reach your child. It teaches you how too discipline lovingly, creating a peaceful home environment for everyone.
Review:
Disciplining children is arguably one of the hardest skills for
parents to learn. As a parent herself, Elizabeth Pantley knows what a
challenge it is to establish good discipline, and she shares the hard-won wisdom of her experience with parents in this latest edition to her
revolutionary “no-cry” approach to parenting. In this case, we have no doubt she’s saving parents from tears, too! Elizabeth Pantley’s approach to this age-old problem is unique because she doesn’t rely on old discipline models that often make parents feel like the bad guy. Instead, she gives parents the communication tools they need to stop bad behavior in its tracks and gain a deeper understanding of what triggers a child to act out. Any parent will appreciate the focus on love and nurturing in this wholly practical and much-needed addition to the child care shelf.
Pantley takes us on an important journey to help us find ease and comfort as parents. She first dispels many parenting and discipline myths that often leave parents confused and feeling inadequate. By learning about these myths and acknowledging that they exist in your life you can then move forward and learn effective new ways to raise your children.
I think this book is a good read for all parents and especially those that are sometimes frustrated with how they see themselves interacting with their children. Parenting skills and discipline skills can always be improved upon and this book is a great place to start. By following Pantley’s advice more parents can find ways to discipline without tears, with less frustration, and with more peace among all members of the family.

The Single Moms Survival Guide

Rating: 8
Description:
The Single Moms Survival Guide is an ebook written by a single mom. It is full of tips and advice on many of the things necessary to raising children by yourself.
Review:
Many of us face the reality of raising our children alone. Those of us who have been there for whatever reason know that it’s an uphill battle usually fought with little to no help. Now it doesn’t have to be that way. With this ebook you can have someone on your side to help you with win those battles.
When I was divorced, which took me forever to do because I didn’t think I could do it on my own, I found a whole new set of struggles that I never thought about before. I had three children, all 22 months apart and headed for those teenage years. I was scared to death.
When I realized that my ex-husband wasn’t going to be around as a father I was even more frantic. How was I going to get through this? What was I thinking? I fell apart and then I got it together and did what I had to do.
It wasn’t easy and the whole time all I could think about was I am the only person going through this. I knew better, but I was alone and scared. It doesn’t have to be that way for anyone because this ebook can be your best friend.
Filled with the things I had to figure out on my own it gives you guidance and advice that all single parents need whether you are a mom or a dad doing it alone. It gives you advice on things such as where to find help, how to deal with finances such as saving money, how to make ends meet and much more.
I was amazed at how much this ebook was filled with what I had learned all by myself when I was in this situation. What to do when it comes to dating, how to find childcare you can afford and why it’s okay to be you. I wish this had been available when I was going through these trying times. Just knowing there’s someone out there that’s been through it would have been a great burden off my shoulders.
If you’re a single parent or know someone who is read this ebook. If for nothing more than to know you’re not alone and there are plenty of parents out there who have gone through the same situation you’re in right now. It will give you courage, independence and hope. You will be a stronger parent and a happier person knowing that there is help out there and that it’s not the end of the world.

Breaking the Good Mom Myth - Review

Product Name:
Breaking the Good Mom Myth
Submitted by:

Rating: 9
Description:
A very witty book that explains the myths surrounding the idea of a perfect mom in a perfect world. Written by someone who has been there done that, this book will guide you to ways in regaining your sanity and being happy with being a good mom - not a perfect mom.
Review:
Being a mom is challenging to say the least. When we put pressures on ourselves to be perfect and have a perfect family we are just asking for a disaster. No one nor no situation can be perfect. With the help of this book any mother will find that it’s ok to just be mom and that just being mom can be fun and fulfilling at the same time - even more so than being a super mom (which by the way doesn’t exist.)
By reading the funny stories that explain the myths of being a good mom, we see that everyone faces the dilemmas that come to pass as a mom in today’s world. With each parenting myth we will find ways to see that this is not working and ways to fix the problem so it will work.
By creating this book and the myths that are in it, the author makes it easy to understand and identify. That in it’s own makes it a great choice to help parents in need. It doesn’t stop there either.
One of my favorite chapters is on how to take care of you. As mothers we think that we should put ourselves last for the better of our family. This book shows how untrue this is. In the long run doing so, can cause more damage to the whole family. Looking out for mom doesn’t mean neglecting the rest of the family. It means giving ourselves a chance to relax, reflect and just be who we are.
There are many great chapters in this book - all filled with good advice and helpful ideas to make a family work. There’s even a chapter on how to reconnect with the other parent and keep marriage sane and happy through all it takes to raise children.
If you feel you’re at your wits end and don’t know exactly what to do before the big nervous breakdown or if you know someone who is there, I highly recommend getting this book. It is funny, helpful and most of all encouraging to everyone who has ever been or ever will be a parent.

The Purse Hook - Review

Product Name:
The Purse Hook

Rating: 10
Description:
The Purse Hook takes the fuss out of wondering where to set your purse when you go out. It keeps your purse close so you have less worry about theft as well as reduces the risk of carrying germs around with you
Review:
Women have a sense of style, as well as a knack for creating objects to suit their needs. The Purse Hook is one of those classic objects women of today will find as classy and useful as their mothers and grandmothers once did. When it comes to paying $19.95 to $39.95 for a product it has to be good. The Purse Hook is such a product. When I think of the price I remember how often I’ll use it and the benefits of the Purse Hook. It’s not too often that you find something fashionable as well as useful. This is a great product for everyone!
Whether you go out to eat or you need to change the baby in a changing room all women face one obstacle, where do you place your purse? While many places have taken this into consideration and provided hooks, there are times when you are left with no choice but to place your purse or diaper bag on the floor.
Let’s think about this for a minute. We tell our children not to eat off the floor. Why, because of germs. We also tell them to wash their hands often for the same reason. Did you know the moment we lay our purses or bags on the floor germs gather on the bottom of it? It is a fact I myself have neglected to consider, until now. Let’s just say that studies have found some really disgusting germs we’d rather not mention on the bottom of women’s purse. Where do these germs go? They travel along with us wherever we go; in the car, at home, to the office where these germs can make us sick without us even realizing it. The Purse Hook can help reduce the risk of becoming sick by carrying around these germs.
With many new styles in the works, the Purse Hook may become the next big gift on everyone’s list! With a simple, yet classic design, and the small size, the Purse Hook is ideal for a women’s purse, diaper bag and even backpacks weighing up to 35 pounds. This is one of those great products you never realized you needed until you have one!
