I almost exclusively use the pharmacy at Target. Mainly because there is more to look at while waiting for a prescription, and I love Target clearance sales! I could check out all the endcap clearance sections and find things I never knew I needed (plus a lot of things I did!)

I also liked the fact that they color-code your family. With five people in our family, it’s nice to know that the green bands belong to my oldest child, while the purple bands belong to my youngest. Me? I’m yellow.

Last week, when my son broke his toe, he was prescribed prescription pain medicine. I had a coupon for a $25 gift card at CVS drugstores for any new or transferred prescription, so I thought I’d try them out. The first thing I noticed was that there was a lot less to look at than in Target, and there really weren’t many sales (except for the Dr. Bronner’s soap I picked up for $2.97.)

When I went to give my son his medicine later, I found out another reason I prefer Target. When you get liquid medicine from them, the top has a stopper in it with just a small hole where you can put the syringe. You can pop in the syringe and turn the bottle upside down to easily fill the correct dosage. They don’t use those stoppers at CVS, so I had to stick the syringe down into the bottle, which made the syringe sticky.

Tonight, I had to fill a prescription for my oldest son (He has a sinus infection. Doesn’t my house sound like fun?) Since I had the gift card, I had this one filled at CVS as well. Not only do I still miss the stopper, the syringe they gave me is too small! He is supposed to take 7.5 ml and they gave me a 5 ml syringe. So, I have to fight with the bottle twice to get enough medicine into my sick little boy.

Sometimes, it’s the little things that keep a customer. I’ll spend the rest of my gift card the next time they have diapers on sale, but I’m filling all my prescriptions at Target from now on. The prescriptions cost the same through our insurance plan, but the end result is much nicer at Target. Target is a bit farther away, but I’ve decided it’s well worth the drive!

Vacuum cleaners have come a long way since the days salesmen sold Hoover vacuums door-to-door. While Hoover is well-known, let’s compare two other vacuum cleaners that have become just as popular today: Dyson and Eureka.

Dyson features include:

If you’ve seen the Dyson commercials, it is clear that this particular vacuum was originally designed to increase the suction performance that was lacking in other well-known brands.

All-floors lightweight upright vacuum cleaner provides constant suction power

200 air watts; on/off brushbar; extends for stair and high-reach cleaning

Lifetime HEPA filter; clean air exhaust; 25-foot cord; lightweight design

4/9-gallon bin empties with the push of a button; certified asthma friendly

Telescoping Reach Wand

Quick-Draw Telescope Reach – Extends instantly for stair and high reach cleaning

Hygienic Bin Emptying – No need to touch the dust, just push the button

HEPA Filter – Approved for allergy sufferers by the British Allergy Foundation

Weight 15.8 lbs

Measures 16-1/3 by 12 by 43-2/3 inches; 5-year warranty

The Dyson DC18 is a slim, light, and easy to maneuver bagless vacuum with the trademark root cyclone system. The air expelled from a Dyson has up to 150 times less mold and bacteria than the air you breathe. Cost is approximately $469.00.

Conversely, the Eureka Boss Smart features include:

Upright vacuum cleaner with 12-amp motor for carpets and hard floors

HEPA filtration system captures 99.97 percent of dust, pollen, and allergens

Onboard tools include dusting brush, upholstery nozzle, and crevice tool

Stretch hose for above-floor cleaning; 3-stage dust-trap system; 30-foot cord

Motorized Brushroll

True HEPA Filtration Deluxe Wide Cleaning Path Air Selector

Cord Length – 30 ft. Weight 21 lbs.

Measures 15 by 11 by 45 inches; 1-year warranty

When comparing the two, consumers state that the overall design of the Dyson allows for easy maneuverability due to the fact that it is lighter than the Eureka vacuum. The cost of the Eureka Boss Smart is approximately $149.00.

Here are additional comparisons that can be made:

The Dyson is bagless while the Eureka is not.

The HEPA filter in the Dyson can be washed; the Eureka HEPA filter has to be replaced.

The Dyson does not have a headlight; the Eureka does.

The Dyson has a 25 ft. cord; the Eureka has a 30 ft. cord.

Both are easy to assemble.

It comes complete with toys all the way around, a comfortable seat that rotates 360 degrees and a motion sensor that activates lights and music when a child jumps up and down.

Review:
When I came across this jumper I was looking for a toy for my baby that would help strengthen his legs but give him hours of play and still be safe. I’ve always trusted Fisher-Price in these areas and started looking there. When I found this toy I knew it was exactly what I was looking for.

First it’s safe. The legs are strong and the seat is sturdy. I never worry that it will collapse when my child is jumping up and down. I also don’t worry that the seat will tear or give way as he plays.

The toys are great. They are bright and easy for my child to grab and hold on to. They are all the way around so he can play in any direction he wants. With the seat being able to turn he never gets frustrated because he can’t reach the toys. The drum on the front is really neat. He loves to make it light up and play the music.

I also like the leaves over the top. It’s such fun to watch him bat at the toys and make them swing around. He giggles every time he gets one. Plus the toys are soft and easy to grab onto. I think all of them are really his favorite.

The bouncing up and down is exciting for him too. He likes the music and bounces almost constantly. His legs are really beginning to build up strength. Sometimes he bounces so much he wears himself out and falls asleep. It’s so adorable to watch him try to stay awake and keep bouncing. The seat always wins out though.

It was so easy to assemble. I wasn’t frustrated nor did I want to just push it in the corner and hope it went away. Plus I can just fold it down to store or take to Grandma’s house. Doesn’t take hardly any time and off we go – Jumperoo and all. It’s easy to clean too. I also like the three levels of adjustment. It grows with my child so I don’t have to worry that I will have to store it away before he’s ready to give it up. Oh yea it’s easy to keep clean too.

If you’re looking for a great toy to keep your baby occupied, giggling and active try this Rainforest Jumperoo. Your baby will be so very glad you did.
