Price is 99¢ I had 2 $1.00/1 coupons and 2 Buy a shampoo and get a styler for free. The way CVS works is they take the FULL RETAIL VALUE of the product off before the CVS card takes it down to sale price – not the sale price. I guess they figure they can get the full value back or will regardless? So, the cashier took off $4.29 instead of 99¢ twice. This gave me a $6.62 profit.

When I scanned my card, I got a $1.00 off any CVS paper towel coupon. Grabbed a single roll for $1.29 or 29¢ after coupon.

My subtotal was 07¢, tax $1.02. My total was $1.09 but for some reason I only had to pay $1.07 – haven’t figured that one out but I am not complaining!

While there, I also picked up some great deals on boys’ clothes (cargo pants on clearance and some $5 tees) and then picked up an adorable tutu skirt for my 2yo.  I paid full-price ($10.50), but I couldn’t pass up the cuteness!  It has a soft, stretchy waist and is lined with a soft polyester material.

The skirt falls just below her knee — which is where I like her skirts to fall (although looking at the reviews apparently I’m in the minority?)  She fell in love with it and hasn’t taken it off since I brought it home.  I think I’m going to have to pick up one in yellow and a third in lavender.

Everyone was happy when I got home, and now I can only hope my 7yo can wear his pants for more than 2 weeks without ripping out the knees!

Ok, maybe not that set for our family. I received the traditional DVD for Christmas and my kids just watched it over the weekend. They all enjoyed it, and my 2yo has been asking for the flying monkey show ever since. But, truly, I don’t think I’ll buy any more DVDs unless they are Blu-ray. I had it on my wishlist, and have been watching it since it came out. Last week, when I saw the price for The Beatles: Rock Band had dropped to less than $40, I bought!

We got it last week and have had fun playing it a few times. It’s the same concept as Rock Band, but I recognize most of the songs and I like the Beatles animation in the background. The songs are more family-friendly than those in the original Rock Band.

If you like the Beatles, and you like Rock Band, then I think you’ll like The Beatles: Rock Band. We do!

The Wii Charge Station is on sale today at Amazon for only $19.99, which is equivalent to about 6 weeks of alkaline battery usage in our house. (My boys play often — and when I say boys I’m including my dear husband!)

In a year of use, we have had absolutely NO problems. It still recharges the remotes with no issues and the extra length of the rechargeable units doesn’t affect play. If you have a Wii, do yourself a favor and pick up a Wii Charge Station!

Throughout the day, they’re offering different Wii games, so if you have a Wii and need new games, check it out! If you don’t have a Wii, keep watching their Video Game page as they are offering deals on video games for the first 18 days of December.
