Earth Day Deals

In honor of Earth Day this year (April 22), Amazon is running specials on nature and conservation dvds.

Planet Earth – The Complete BBC Series has to be one of the most stunning and informative nature shows available today. We have rented the dvds from netflix in the past, but I am seriously considering adding this set to our dvd collection. The set is just under $50, which works out to less than $10 a disc.

They also have Living with Ed: Season 1 for 41% off. This television series follows Ed Begley on his quest for greener living and is informative as well as funny. I enjoy watching the dynamic between him and his wife, and their “green” values sometimes clash.

Living in Arizona, I’m very interested in solar energy. NOVA: Solar Energy – Saved by the Sun looks like an interesting look at this powerful energy source. I hope that legislation changes in Arizona and makes solar energy more viable and possible. With over 300 days of sunshine — we could surely generate quite a bit of energy!

Celebrate Earth Day by learning something new!  Any of these dvds would help fulfill that mission!
