Fee-Free Weekends at National Parks

If you love the outdoors, you’ll want to check out the fee-free weekends that are planned throughout the National Park Service this summer.  Over 100 parks will offer free admission during the weekends of:

  • June 20-21, 2009 (Father’s Day weekend)
  • July 18-19, 2009
  • August 15-16, 2009

Looking at the list of parks by state, I realize we’ve only visited a small handful of the parks here in Arizona.  These fee-free weekends may be a great excuse to explore more of our state.

You can find tons of information at the National Parks site, including family fun ideas for this summer.

Melanie Rogers is a wife and homeschooling mom of 3 children. She enjoys helping other busy moms find great products to delight their families and make their lives easier. She's always on the lookout for a great bargain, too! You can also find Melanie blogging frequently at My Little Patch of Sunshine.

WOAH. I’m shocked that Texas only has 4 and they are all in extreme West Texas except one on the coast. It’s closer for me to visit a park in Oklahoma or Arkansas! LOL

Impressive list that Arizona has though… how come you have ALL the luck? Hey, have you checked out Montezuma’s Castle? I found it fascinating when I lived in AZ and visited it!
