Has Customer Service Completely Disappeared? - Show #32
April 4, 2008
->
Once upon a time you could enter a store and have people falling all over themselves wanting to help you find what you needed. Cashiers used to say “Please” and “Thank you” and might even through in a “Come back again!” as you left the store.
This week my guest is Alyssa Avant from A Writer For Hire and she shares her terrible customer service experience at a large copy center. Learn what you should ask when hiring someone to complete a service for you.
I’d love to hear your customer service experiences, both good and bad! Feel free to leave a comment below.

Got something to say?

Sadly, customer service training has deteriorated considerably over the past few years.
In my local area the reason is that the job boom makes it very difficult for employers to hire staff that are willing to go the extra mile for customers. I’ve had clients complain that finding staff willing to show up in the first place is a huge challenge and they’re afraid to push them with training for fear of losing the staff!
Sadly, many employees feel that just showing up is enough.
