Review: Champion Mosquito Trap
Summer is here again and with it… are the pesky mosquitoes. If you live a mosquito prone area, I don’t need to explain all the annoying problems a mosquito’s bite can cause. You already know a mosquito’s bite does not just cause itching, but it can also cause serious infections and in some parts of North America, a mosquito can transfer the West Nile virus from an infected bird to a human.
Maybe your local community sprays to control the mosquito population but it isn’t working well enough. Maybe you don’t want harmful chemicals used in your area or the inconvenience (and smell) of other personal use products on the market for keeping mosquitoes away. Maybe you feel like a prisoner in your home missing out the joys of summer, but you feel limited in your options for controlling them. Here’s an alternative that should ease all your worries and get you back outside in time for the next cook out!
The Champion Mosquito Trap is a device for your yard that captures a growing number of egg laying females while slowly decreasing the mosquito population locally. The device takes advantage of new technologies developed to monitor and control mosquito populations. The combination of Octenol, a naturally occurring plant product, and carbon dioxide attracts certain types of insects and lures them close to the device. A built-in vacuum sucks the insects inside where they get dehydrated and die.
The inside holding chamber is easy to clean. The device uses standard AC power, has a dual speed setting and is waterproof. The Octenol cartridges need to be replaced approximately every 21 days depending on how often the device is running and can be purchased separately from the manufacturer. The device protects an area of up to ½ acre.
Doesn’t an itchless and bug-free summer sound great? Check out more information Champion Mosquito Trap and let me know how it works for you!
