Review: Wii Charge Station

Do you have a Wii?  (Or will you find one under the Christmas tree this year?) Last Christmas, I wrapped up the Wii Charge Station after we had spent who knows how much money on batteries for our Wii remote. It has been a great addition to our gaming cabinet and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

The Wii Charge Station is on sale today at Amazon for only $19.99, which is equivalent to about 6 weeks of alkaline battery usage in our house. (My boys play often — and when I say boys I’m including my dear husband!)

In a year of use, we have had absolutely NO problems. It still recharges the remotes with no issues and the extra length of the rechargeable units doesn’t affect play. If you have a Wii, do yourself a favor and pick up a Wii Charge Station!

  1. This charger came with the Wii bundle that I purchased from Best Buy. As a charging station is seems to perform adequately however I don’t like the way the remotes fit into the charger, it is not a secure fit especially with the wrist strap attached to the remote. The other issue is that you can no longer use the rubber skins on the remotes once you switch to the rechargable batteries. I think it makes total sense to use rechargable batteries with these remotes but I liked the skins.
