SHARE Food Program – Review
As promised in Episode 41 – Half Price Groceries, I’ve posted photos of my first experience with the Share Food Program, known in my region as Share Colorado. My overall thoughts? Terrific!

This is the package my mother purchased for $25. It included an assortment of meats. Yes, you read those packages correct – they even had ORGANIC selections and name brands!

This was the Basic Package that I purchased. It had a smaller selection of meat but included fresh produce.

Close up time! Check out those bananas… no rush to eat them the minute I got them home. Fantastic!

The fresh lettuce was great on the hamburgers that came in this meal package! The plums were gone first. I couldn’t have chosen a better selection if I had done it myself.

This was from the Pantry Box I purchased. Some very basic staple items all kitchens should have plus a few extras: Tuna, beans, noodles, soup, peanut butter and jelly.
Can you buy everything on this page for $65 or less? I’d like to see you try! Trust me on this one, just locate a local program and start participating. If you eat, you qualify!

Marianne,
Yes, anyone can participate in the programs. There are no income requirements. You’ll just need to locate the nearest participating location.
As far as the quality, it has been several months since I’ve participated. There are mixed reviews in the comments so far from others that have participated. Opinions may vary based on location, individual’s expectations, etc. At the time that I tried both services, I was pleased with the quality in my area.
Can anyone use the “Angel” or “Share program?
Is the meat good quality?
