Summer Movie Deals for Kids

We’re heading into the summer and long, hot days with the kids! Depending on where you live, you may have some great options for inexpensive summer movies so that at least one morning per week has a planned activity.

If you live near a theater owned by Regal Entertainment, chances are good that they are offering FREE movies on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings throughout the summer.  Tickets are available on a first come / first serve basis each day the free movies are offered.

I don’t live near a movie theater owned by Regal, but I do live in Arizona where the Harkins Theatres are offering a summer series of 10 movies for only $7. Movies are shown at 9:45AM on either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.  When you purchase the series, you have to choose which day you will attend all summer.

If you live in Kansas, Missouri or North Carolina, you can check your local Dickinson Theatre for their summer series.  These series are also offered as a series at highly discounted rates. Visit their site to find the specific theatres and movie offerings in your area.

None of these movies will be first-run, but they will be G & PG rated, kid-oriented movies from the last couple years.

Every Thursday morning (until the end of July) will find me & the kids enjoying the cool darkness of our local movie theater!  Let me know if a theater near  you is participating and if you’ll be at the movies, too!
